Special Webinar: THE DATAMED'S DATS MODEL ANNOTATED WITH SCHEMA.ORG

Date

Wed Jun 1st 9:00am to 10:00am PDT

Presenter

Susanna-Assunta Sansone, Alejandra Gonzalez-Beltran, Philippe Rocca-Serra

Abstract

Are you interesting in learning more about the DATS model annotated with schema.org that will support the intended capability of DataMed index? Do you plan to make your data resource discoverable via the DataMed prototype? Want to know what metadata elements will be used to search the datasets in DataMed?

In this webinar we will:

  • explain how the DATS (DatA Tag Suite) model and its schema.org annotated JSON-LD serializations has been developed, based on use cases and existing community-driven metadata models (listed at BioSharing).  Like the JATS is used by PubMed to index literature, a DATS model is needed for a scalable way to index data sources in the DataMed prototype.
  • provide an overview of the current model and key elements and highlights the next steps also as part of thebioschemas.org initiative.
